Jim Perdios (Head Coach)

From training Australia’s heaviest man to Professional fighters and everyone in between, Coach Jim has the experience and knowledge to transform our members lives.

Coach Jim decided to begin his Martial arts journey in 2006 after being overweight and bullied his whole life. He turned his life around, lost 35kg and went on to win the 2007 NSW and 2009 Australian MMA Championship. He began coaching in 2010 and has trained all around the world with the best coaches on the planet. He is extremely passionate about sharing the knowledge he has obtained and developed with our members. Coach Jim strives to help others achieve their goals and dreams as well as his own, in 2014 he became the youngest UFC Judge and in 2017 he became the youngest Australian UFC referee in History. He is driven to make the Australian Kickboxing Academy the best Kickboxing academy on the planet.

Andrea Nobrega (Coach)

Andrea Nobrega began her martial arts journey at the age of 7 in Taekwondo Training. She now has over 11 years’ experience and has achieved her 3rd degree black belt. Andrea pursued her passion in martial arts and developed her training skills transitioning into kickboxing/ Muay Thai at age 14, Andrea went on to further her skills competing in her first kickboxing fight at age 15. She has achieved her cert lll/IV in personal training and is currently completing a Bachelor of sports and exercise science. Andrea has over 6 years of coaching experience. She displays a great passion for coaching in aim to help you learn, grow and achieve your goals. She is a team leader at Australian Kickboxing Academy.

Ibrahim Faour (Coach)

Ibrahim began his martial arts journey at the age of 15. He soon fell in love with the sport and was victorious in his first ever kickboxing fight after only 6 months of training. At the age of 16 Ibrahim began coaching kickboxing and fighting on a regular basis. Ibrahim has plans to fulfil his long time dream of becoming a world class martial artist and helping people achieve their goals. Ibrahim is currently finalising his studies to become a full time personal trainer.

Tyson Martin (Coach)

Tyson took his first-ever Muay Thai class at the age of 8 years old. He also competes at various tournaments representing the Australian Kickboxing Academy. He has an undefeated kickboxing record and has won an Australian Title in Brazilian jiu jitsu.

Tyson has aspirations to become a professional MMA fighter and also a detective in the NSW Police Force.

He thoroughly enjoys coaching and mentoring the junior members of the Australian Kickboxing Academy, and build positive, inclusive environments for all members of the local community.

Stephen Mandis (Assistant Coach)

Stephen started his journey in kickboxing and at the Australian Kickboxing Academy in the year of 2016. He Quotes 'Stepping foot into the academy was one of the best decisions I've made in my life'.

His journey began at 110kg. Within 2 years of training, he had fought twice at ISKA, and had his first ring fight at 75kg!

He is passionate about coaching and sharing his story with our Australian Kickboxing academy members . His next goal is to have another kickboxing bout and bring home a gold winners medal for the Australian kickboxing academy trophy cabinet.
